I called the phone number listed for this store to get a price on an oil change as their site does not have prices. This was at 9:56 am. The oil change is for a 4 cyl car. I was told that with the coupon the price would be $57 dollars and some change. I drove there from my office. There were 4 cars ahead of me. After about 30 minutes in line where only one car moved. One of the employees came out with water and said there was only 2 of them and I could come back as they're open until 8. I told him I would wait because I drove all the way across town. After over an hour of waiting, I was pulled into a stall. They were only doing one car at a time but opened both stalls up. After 36 minutes in the stall, the other employee finally came to my window and said he would get me a price. I told him I already know what the price is because I called before I headed over there. He came back and said the cost would be $94 and some change with the $20 discount card. I told him I wish I had known that almost 2 hours ago and the person who answered gave me the price of $57 plus. After I told him I didn't want it, he was rude and said his store does not participate in what the people on the phone call told me and they don't know what the hell they're doing then walked off. I told the other employee I got a price before I drove there and this was bs. He said yes it was and the people I spoke to don't know what the they're talking about and have never set foot in that store. He said that this store only handles the expensive oil. They had containers of DuroMax oil, which I never heard of, (it may be good?) and there is an extra charge for mobile Mobil One. I called the number again when I left and told them what happened. He said he would transfer me to the store manager. The voice mailbox was full. I called again. A lady said she would transfer me to customer service. After 10 minutes, I pushed one to put in the queue. After 15 to 20 minutes later, I got a phone call from a 516 area code. I answered it and it was the awful elevator music again and no person. I called again and asked for customer service and got put on hold again. I lost 2 hours of my day plus the frustration of dealing with this place. This is the 1st bad review I've ever given but it was so bad, I felt compelled to warn others.

I waited in line at Take 5 Oil for over an hour, even though their posted closing time is 8:00 PM. When the employee finally came up to me, he told me they would only be able to take the two vehicles already inside and wouldn’t be helping anyone else. If that’s the case, then don’t advertise that you’re open until 8 PM. They should’ve told customers before we wasted our time sitting in line. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful of people’s time.

I came in thinking I needed an oil change but I didn’t. The guy actually told me I wasn’t due yet and was so honest. He could have easily charged me for a new one and instead didn’t charge me and still topped off my windshield washer fluid. Amazing service!!

There was only one car in front of me and it took over an hour to get my oil changed. Only one bay was open. One worker worked the computer and changed my oil, while another did absolutely nothing. All they did was change my oil. They didn’t check any other fluids, tire pressure or anything. Terrible service, I will not be going back. Jiffy Lube here I come. Also it was a fleet vehicle through a major rental company. I was told that on sundays fleet vehicles could not be done and I would have to use a credit card.

These guys here were so awesome so courteous so considering I was honestly a little short for my oil change and they were willing to help me out with a discount so that I was able to get my oil changed that day. You don’t get service like that anywhere else usually so you guys great job keep it up and thank you so much again.

They were honest quick and efficient! Was supposed to get an oil change bc I just bought the car. They informed me it wasn't time the oil just was changed. Thank you for the honesty! They changed my info in the computer. Placed a sticker on my window and I left!

Quite slow compared to previous visits. Like, real slow. But the guy changing my oil was super cool and friendly. Will go back again, as previous oil changes were quicklike.

While I hate being negative, I waited 2 hours in my car with only 3 cars ahead of me. There were 2 people working & I know they are probably so overworked, but this just doesn't seem like a functional process. Please do better.

Service guys are nice enough but every time you come here it is a 1.5 to 2 hour wait! Usually only 1 or 2 service techs. Been here 3 times now and never saw both sides open to service. If I didn't have to come I would not recommend it, I mean unless you have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING better to do that is!

I wasn’t going to do this review because this is my first bad experience. I came in 12/8/25 at around 6:50 waited in line for almost an hour to be told at 7:35 that they weren’t taking any more customers. Very disappointed because they always have great service! Tonight I guess these guys were ready to get off early !!!

Very horrible experience !!! Nelson Rd. Location. Bottled Water while waiting Ha ha !!! Got oil changed, next day oil on concrete at my home. Went back and told them about it. He told me it was my oil pan gasket. I told him do you really think that’s a coincidence when I had it changed the day before and it has never leaked ever so then another guy goes down and looks back up and agrees with the manager. Then this guy proceeded to tell me he’s a certified mechanic and all gaskets should be changed at 100,000 miles. Taking their word for it. I go get everything I need to change my gasket jack the car up and it’s leaking from the plug. The gasket is dry as can be. I understand things happen but honesty goes a long way with me. I gave them a chance to make it right and I was lied to so now I’ll let everyone know do not go here. Bought oil from my local auto parts store and changed it myself for a quarter of the price they charged me. Complete rip off !!! Stay away

Service was great. Both men that were working at the time were courteous and professional. But I believe they needed some more help because it took nearly 2 hours to complete the oil change from the time I got in the parking lot until they were finished.

I sat in line for an hour without anyone ever coming out to talk to us and by the time I got to the bay they told me the $55 oil change was not available for the day but they could do the $126 oil change. Never in my life have I paid even $80 for an oil change! What poor Customer Service as well having us sit there for so long without ever coming to get our information when we could’ve asked the question of price, because of course, there is a sign that says to stay in your car.

No complaints about the actual service done or the workers or anything, but the cost was astronomical. I was literally shocked, mouth open, when he told me how much it would cost. Over $100 for the most basic oil change I could get!! And I have a 2015, not some super nice new exotic car...crazy. I had a coupon for 50% off, but the actual value of it was only $25 (which I knew, no surprise) so I never thought my total would be over $100 without the coupon. Never again.

All of the workers were nice. My problem was sucking the oil out of my engine took entirely to long. I didn't time it but it was close to 45 minutes. Something had to be plugged up. It was barely trickling out into a clear container which made it easy to see. The workers kept changing the suction tubes out but it did not help. I know it can't be designed to be this slow. There is no way the owner could keep the doors open at this slow place. All three workers standing there 45 minutes just waiting on the oil to drain. The price for mobile 1 was 147 dollars. That's about 40 dollars higher than the place I usually go to.

Hands down best place! The manager was so friendly and so was the staff. Walmart refused my vehicle because they said my filter was too tight. These guys tackled it and got the job done. I will definitely be back. And when I called the lady on the phone texted my a $25 off coupon, then I get there and see that they accepted ZIP PAY 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼, that saved my life! Thank you for the exceptional service.
