Had to downgrade to 1 star. We bought a steak for dinner and two days later it was completely rotten. We were still within the "Sell By" date on the package, which had not been opened. We tried to exchange it for a replacement and were given a hard time. Eventually, the manager said they would give us a gift card, but not "next time." There shouldn't have been a first time, let alone a next time. If you cannot keep your stock from rotting before the dates on the package then it is not safe to shop there. Foodborne illness is a serious risk. I'd rather drive a little further and know my food is safe.

My favorite grocery store. Rarely do you find a business where all employees appear to be happy, and are also friendly and polite. The store is always clean, they have great coupons and sales, awesome products (including a decent and growing selection of gluten free items), and it’s rare if I can’t find what I’m looking for. They’ve also expanded the organic produce this year, which I love.

I was at this store this afternoon, and went to the Hot Bar. I was pleasantly surprised how clean, well stocked, and the food choices were wonderful. The pork ribs were so tender they fell off the bone. The chicken in beer can sauce? Amazing and tender. The only criticism I have, is the veggies..less onions and peppers and add some mushrooms, broccoli / cauliflower. Otherwise..awesome!!!

June 12, 2025 I stopped in to grab a few things. Wow, just wow. The store looks incredible. What a transformation. I’m so impressed. Thank the teams of hard working men and women that made it happen. I so admire the new look and what just happened is just a few short months. Thanks for being a big store but providing that small town feel.

They recently changed ownership and the store is nicely, remodeled and organized. I have to give a shout out to Jeremy at the front end (terminal 4) he was an excellent cashier and even noticed a coupon for an item that we purchased and did not realize had a coupon/sale… Super appreciated and great customer service!

Well organized and attractive exhibition of merchandise. Extensive selection, and half the place’s been Mexicanized, of course. Clean bathroom, but the section for beer has these annoying covers on it which prevent me from picking up two cases at a time! Throughout the store there are free wi-fi and price scanners. Ample parking in the lot out front. Staff competent, though self check-out is the way to go…

Jody at bakery very unprofessional, waited there for 20 min she was paged 3 times, when she finally decided to show up was on her phone and n not attentive at all. I never wrote a feedback because anyone can have a off day but this was unacceptable even the costumer service person came to apologize and couldn’t help me because item was in displace

I do my shopping here often and I’m always very satisfied. However, today I purchased a chicken Parmesan sandwich and realized it wasn’t chicken. It was either pork or veal, both of which I do not eat. I’m very disappointed.

Wide selection, attractively displayed and fairly priced (some items more than others). Spacious aisles and friendly staff. Check out by cashier or self check-out, which is preferable. Throughout the store are price scanners. Clean bathroom and ample parking in the lot outside. Wi-fi of decent strength and speed.

It’s good that the A&P closed since it was no good anyways, ShopRite is just the right grocery store and the supermarket with all the items that you would expect to find and back to at affordable prices. Thanks to the Cingari family to bring this to our neighborhood ;) Shoprite is just right ! The grocery pick up service is really cool since they get your stops right where you have parked your car.

Why does ShopRite need facial recognition technology ? Never shopping here again. Plus your deli counter workers touch everything with their gloves on then touch the meat. Do better!

The week before this Shoprite's circular showed that they had Corbram Olive Oil on sale. I searched the store and couldn't find it. I asked the female manager at the middle desk area for assistance. She looked and couldn't find it either. She went on the computer and actually said " we are not authorized to carry that in this store" and that I could " find it in another Shoprite"!!! Quite frankly annoyed, I said " why is it in your circular that I just got at your door?" Her answer was " the circulars are printed up for all the stores". Now, I ask does this make any sense??? I have NEVER been met with anything like this in any food store before. I am wondering if this manager realizes how ignorant and unprofessional she sounded? Shame on her and shame on Shoprite for employing an individual lacking the skills to be in any managerial role.

I was a regular shopper at shoprite until I bought meat. I cooked the meat and it was horrible. the whole house smelled and I had to throw it away. I checked the other dates on my meat that I had put in the freezer and noticed the dates were the same as the rotten meat I cooked. I decided to give it a try incase maybe it was my cooking error. Well no it was the meat had expired. I went down to the courtesy desk and told them about the meat and it was about $60 worth. They told me if I didn't have a receipt they were not going to honor the loss and refund my money. There were others in line getting frustrated about what they told me. I said I use my shop rite card every time I shop, if they could verify the purchase. they wanted to hear nothing of it. there was some conversatioin in line about them not being very good about removing expired meats from their meat dept. I was very upset to hear this as I never had this problem before. I was at the customer desk for a bit requesting some refund and understanding this was not a $5.00 loss. THEY DID NOT CARE. What is the point of having shop rite card for your protection if you lose your receipt. You can do better shop rite. I no longer shop here I have gone to BJ and have had no issues with my meats.

She even took the time to let me know about a coupon that was going on, which I really appreciated. Kaitlyn made my checkout experience smooth and pleasant. ShopRite is lucky to have her!

I usually have a great experience at this ShopRite and the store itself is clean, well stocked, and organized. However, my experience at checkout last night was very disappointing and uncomfortable. The cashier (name on the receipt was Kaitlyn) and another employee who was wearing what looked like a manager’s jacket were talking about inappropriate, sexual topics instead of focusing on their jobs or the customers. Their conversation was loud enough for people in line to hear, and I was shopping with younger kids, which made the situation especially uncomfortable for my family. What made it worse is that other employees nearby also seemed uncomfortable with the conversation, which says a lot about how inappropriate it was. If you’re going to have those types of conversations, they should absolutely not be happening at the register in front of customers and children. I understand it was late at night and people get tired, but there should still be professionalism — especially from someone who appears to be in charge. Everyone else in the store was pleasant and helpful, so it was really surprising that these two were the rudest and most unprofessional people we encountered. There were multiple registers open, and I chose that line because it had a bagger, expecting better service. Instead, they were more focused on talking than working. Had I known this would be the experience, I would have gone to self-checkout or another line. I’m really disappointed that this kind of behavior is happening at checkout, especially when someone who appears to be in a management role is involved. I hope this is addressed, because the store itself is otherwise great.

The Store on Padanaram Rd Danbury, CT, is one of the very best grocery stores I have been too. To make it perfection would be a 50% reduction on all merchandise and then add in all the sales and coupons. If this was done then every single person would shop there! This store is maintained expertly. The Stockers care about their jobs, down to the proper shelving and facing the product. They enjoy the beautiful result for the consumers when done with an area. I met a shelf stocker, Laura. She was smiling while arranging the product on the shelf. I asked her a question and she turned to me with a Huge Smile and a Emitting a Reflective Aura/Spirit that shown on her eyes, face, and constitution to see if she can be giving and helpful. The shelf behind her was perfectly in order. This employee, along with Cashier's Marc and Seven need a raise and a quarterly bonus of $1,000.00 each! I come to your store for the friendly and knowledgable employees, although this store is exceptionally maintained, and presented accordingly! Thank you very much, Gloria The lady with the mask and Mountain Dew baseball cap...
