Man oh man what to say about Self Service Car Wash located on Aviation. More like, what NOT to say am I right LOL 🤣😂😥😝. This place is awesome. Great place to clean your vehicle for just 5 bucks or less. The $5 for 15 min clean is a LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE. The best part is, they don't try and sell you all that dance triple foam BS. I've been going here for years, love it, but I gotta say it's still kinda interesting that the machines only accept dollar coins, but hey what works works you know what I mean hahaha doesn't seem like it's stopping people from coming hahaha LOL 🤣😆😆, just make sure you bring some cash AND TOWELS DO NOT FORGET TO BRING TOWELS TO DRY I ALWAYS FORGET TO BRING TOWELS IT SUCKS SO REMEMBER TOWELS . If you're into cars there's a 7/11 right across the intersection which is great to take pics of ur clean car at. Overall great wash whenever the Camry needs a clean, straight to Self Service Car Wash on Aviation, no questions asked.

Not worth it anymore, no sign to tell you that the prices increased. Used to be $5 for 15 mins which was a fair deal, now it’s $5 for 6 minutes. Many times the equipment doesn’t work and the area is dirty. Won’t be coming back here

I have been going to this car wash for a few years. I went there a few weeks ago only to find out the steep change in the price. From $5 for 15 mins to $6 for 10 mins !! I'll never go again.

Hands down THE BEST self serve car wash in LA. For $5 you get 15 min to wash your car and vacuum is cheap too. It is CASH ONLY but there are plenty of WORKING change and car cleaning accessory machines. Plus there is a 7-11 directly across the street if you need an ATM or cash-back. Only thing that really sucks about this car wash is that they don’t have more locations. 10/10

Went from the best deal to worst deal overnight. At 15min/$5, it used to be a good enough place for the price. Things sometimes didn't work but it was cheap. Now they raised the price to 10min/$6 almost doubling the price. And things are still broken like bays where spot free rinse or high pressure rinse don't work.

The price has been the same for 25 years and easy drive in drive out. Tons of space for washing, cleaning and a strong vacum.

Did a good job, couldn't find anywhere that took card so I believe cash only. Spot free did leave some spots on the areas I did not dry completely. Overall, great wash and excellently maintained facility. Was very pleased.

Just went to get a car wash today after a while and these prices are ridiculous!!! $6/10 minutes when it was $5/15 what a ripoff. I didn’t finish in time and it forces you to spend another $3 even though I just needed the extra minute. On top of that the coin machine jams. All the other comments are correct in saying this was the best deal in town but not anymore. Best go somewhere else. I had to go to the automated car wash and have them finish the wash cause I refuse to spend another dollar here. I left note demanding a refund for the unnecessary money I had to pay

Decent washing equipment. Archaic coin only system. Unfortunately it only accepts coins and not a credit/debit card. I came there on the previous day with $20 bills and decided I didn’t need $10 in coins, since it only gives change in coins. I came back tonight when I had $10 bill. It’s nice they stay open late though. For some reason the one on Torrance and Prospect was closed earlier than it’s supposed to be. I also learned the hard way that you need to add coins within 25 seconds or you start over. So someone in the middle bay tomorrow is going to have an extra dollar in there. 🤷♂️

Here to voice my disappointment along with everyone else. I used to love this car wash. I told everyone I know to go here. $5 for 15 minutes. A fantastic deal. Then they raised it to $6 which is totally understandable with inflation and all. But cutting the time from 15 minutes to just 10 minutes… that’s just gauging. I move fast but I can’t thoroughly wash a car that quickly. They’re tricking customers into topping up. I genuinely hope that the owner reads these reviews and changes course. Until then, I’ll be washing my car at one of the establishments that other disappointed customers have listed below.

This is the last straw with this car wash, I will most likely never return. The first time they raise their prices, I put in five dollars like every other time thinking it would be the same. But of course, not only did they decrease the time, they also increased the price, which is deceptive. Instead of getting 15 minutes, I got 6 and of course I had to leave without my car being clean. Now, to get at least 15 minutes, you have to put in like $10 worth. The second time since the price increase, I went here and their tire cleaner didn’t work and they didn’t have a floor mat holder on the wall. A common theme with this place is a lot of their stuff breaks, but the cheap cost made up for it in the past. This last time I went, I left furious. I put in $8 thinking it would be enough for a fast wash, but it wasn’t. So I was about to add another dollar coin at the last 5 seconds (all their machines LITERALLY SAY “add a coin within 25 seconds of the timer ending to add more time”); and when I did, it wanted me to add a few more in order to start it. I thought it would return my coin after sometime, waiting there for five minutes, but it didn’t. Already pissed off, I take my last coin of the $10 I had and put it into the vacuum. Of course, it didn’t work, there was no out of order sign on it, and it didn’t return the coin. A lot of these self service car washes have machines that just steal your money, but this one is different in the fact that they price gouge their long time loyal customers. If this place was actually good and everything worked, I wouldn’t mind paying the new prices and would be happy, but if you have this amount of terrible quality control and charge this much, you will have a lot of angry customers. I used to love this place and went here for over a decade, but never again. I would literally recommend getting your own supplies and doing it at home over this place. Unfortunately, now there is virtually no good self service car wash in this area (el Segundo and Manhattan ones aren’t that great either)

Very disappointed. I came to wash my van, but the soap mode and the high-pressure mode were not working. I had to just rinse the vehicle using the rain mode.

All good things come to an end… They put the price up (big time), now I need to jump around my car to finish the job. I guess the few extra dollars I paid for are for the CrossFit workout I had to go through to wash my car in a shorter amount of time. But I won’t be driving the extra miles for this car wash anymore, you lost a faithful customer. Byyyyyye

Came at around 10am Saturday Nov 29. Coin machine says it takes $20 bills, which was the only bill I had. Upon inserting it only gave $10 in coins. Phone number at least on google shows disconnected/out of service. Beware of coin machines.

Car wash itself isn't bad but pricing is ludicrous. You end up having to spend $10-13 to wash your car yourself when there is full service drive through for the same price a block down Aviation. Whoever owns this car wash...look at your reviews and fix it before you lose all of your long standing customers. I'm not going to wash my car myself for the same price as a drive through. If it were $7-8 for 15 minutes...ok at least I can finish the wash. $6 for 10 minutes is not nearly enough time to wash a car properly...

I recommended this place to numerous friends over the years. It was my primary source for car washes. The equipment works good and the pricing was great - $5 for 15 minutes. Now the pricing is way too high for do-it-yourself. I previously spent $5 and washed my car. My last visit I spent $8 and did not have time to finish. Was there an owner change? What a stupid way to ruin a business. Until I hear of a return to prior standrards, I will not go back and will never refer a friend.

As other recent reviews state, no longer worth it. You have ruined the only good car wash in the area. I recommend the self wash at the corner of Prospect/Torrance Blvd; it accepts credit cards and has much better equipment. They raised the prices here, you used to get 15 min for $5, it is now $6 for 10 min. A 20% price increase for a 30% time DECREASE. Laughable and deceitful. $3 used to get you 6:30 and was enough for people who just wanted to rinse the car and dry it, without using the soap brush. But because of the price increase, it is no longer worth it to come here. As others mentioned, these machines are incredibly unreliable. They will consistently take money and not give you the time and there is no option to return the coins calling the phone number does not yield any results. They will never call you back. Like others I have been coming here over 10 years, but will never be coming back due to the price increase/time decrease. Equipment is typically dirty and often does not work . It would be significantly cheaper to do it in your own driveway. 0 out of 5 stars.

Dissapointing. Had stopped going here when they dropped the time from 15mins to 12mins while keeping price at $6 (this was about a year ago maybe). I would rather they increased the price to $7 and kept the time what it was. 12mins was just enough time to wash a smaller car. Also had stopped coming after the machines took my money a couple times and was once given a british pound that obviously would not work... no credit card, no way to get your momey back. Today went back cause i had a lot of grime on the car and they further reduced it to 10mins lol. This is not enough to wash your properly car properly, you re just rinsing it at that point. Unless you add $6 dollars, the amount of time per dollar you get is terrible. This place is absolutely not worth it anymore. There are better self wash options. It costs more to wash your own car than taking it to a decent car wash (which would also have free vacuums unlike here).

I've been going to this place for about 2 years. It was my little secret and I would return every Tuesday like clockwork. Recently, they raised the prices significantly which has removed a star from the score. What was previously $5 for 15 minutes is now $6 for 10. Disappointing for sure. On the bright side, the water pressure is still excellent. The "spot-free rinse" actually works, unlike other spots. And the vacuums are effective. $1 for 5 minutes. Still a decent deal. However, the price of a full service self-wash for me went up from $7 (15 min of water + 10 minute vacuum) to $13. Nearly double! A bummer, but I still go. Just not as regularly.
