A real, honest hardware store, like something from a bygone era, staffed by knowledgeable people. It's easy, amd pleasant, to forget Home Depot exists when I come here.

Outstanding for a small, local Hardware Store. Papa is awesome....and he loves my dog ("his girlfriend").....just a joy to shop at.

If something you buy breaks...You are SOL. As they state no returns EVEN if the product is defective. Robbery. Avoid at all costs. Go to one of the big brand places where you have some protection. I try to support local stores even knowing it’s overpriced. Not this place anymore. Don’t even get me started on the attitude this place has.

Sean and Cathy the new owners, along side Papa are such a wonderful team, they were so generous with their time and knowledge. I would highly recommend you stop by and get to know them, wonderful people, and business, truly a blessing to have in the neighborhood!

I love everything about this store, it's in my neighborhood, locally owned and I rarely leave without finding what I need and I am in there a lot!! Thanks Sean, Kathy and Pops for taking a risk and investing in "locally owned, locally run", old school Santa Barbara we take care of our own😊

Hose in kitchen faucet broke. I drove to a couple of plumbing shops and called others. No one had this item. Went to San Andres Hardware, they didn't have it either, but asked me if I wanted to purchase a new comparable faucet, which I did. The young man behind the counter was very professional and personable.

What a PLACE! We went in looking for little fish nets to go tide-pooling and they MADE them for us, saving us running all over town! This is what a hardware store is all about. Go. Go often. Shop local. Thanks San Andres Hardware! Best hardware store I've been to in a long time.

Amazing amount / variety of stuff for such a small store. A true "hardware" store, instead of the behemoths like Home Dept and OSH. Not a lot of help - "it's down at the end of that aisle" - but it's fun to wander around and discover stuff you didn't know you needed. Small parking lot.

Small hardware store on the westside of Santa Barbara. Fairly large selection of hardware items, keys made, and other sundry items. Owner is friendly and helpful when looking for hardware items in the store. 1 handicapped parking space, smaller parking lot, but adequate most times of the day.

Locally owned and operated! A rarity these days. For a small hardware store, they manage to stock quite a lot. I always prefer to support my little local business instead of one of the giant chain stores. Recommended.

The owner is friendly at times. I've had good experiences there but my last trip was frustrating. Don't buy their "Quickie" brand mop. After mopping half of my kitchen I realized how cheap this product was and was bummed I had paid $16.99 for it. The owner would only give me store credit and charge me the difference for the more expensive, $18.99 "Quickie" mop. I didn't want either of these mops and will never buy a "Quickie" brand mop ever again. Clearly posted on the door as you walk in is a sign that says "All Sales Are Final".... not the best policy when you are selling cheap products.... or maybe for the owner it is? Unfortunately, this store doesn't stack up to competitor return policy standards and I will not be shopping here any more. I recommend any potential shoppers take a good look at what they buy here because there is no return policy!!

I walked in with a wobbly rear wheel on my mobility walker and asked if they knew of someone who would be able to fix it. Without hesitation he pulled out some tools and did it for me right there on the spot. I am so grateful for the kindness of this business.

It’s sad because this is my local hardware shop, and I support them. Despite the fact that their prices are higher than other larger stores, it’s convenient, and I want to support the local business. However, this place continues to disappoint at every turn. I show up at 4:30 PM and they are posted as being open until five. The guy is still there outside locking his parking lot at 4:35, 25 minutes before their posted closing time, but refuses to allow me to purchase anything or enter. Unapologetic, unhelpful.

Has a lot of stuff for such a small store... You can find almost anything you need but it's going to be cheap quality but expensive pricing. Ace has higher quality for the same price and Home Depot has higher quality for better pricing. The fact that the items are cheap and all sales are final kind of explains the type of shop it is. The owner has always been super friendly to me and I go in on occasion when I need something small and don't feel like driving very far.

This great locally owned business is always my go-to hardware store before I go to the big corporates. Poppy is awesome, a great old guy who knows what he's talking about. And even though it is a smaller store there got what you need and they even have an outdoor gardening section which is better than one might think. All in all please support this store they deserve it!

Really wanted to like this local shop, but I’ve had multiple uncomfortable experiences with the older gentlemen who works here. He is condescending and quarrelsome, often getting much too personal. He once refused to let me use Apple Pay, preaching about oppressive bank fees and “the big guys” stealing from the people, which was frankly unwarranted and unprofessional. Today, he followed me to my car and made me roll my window down to confront me for not making a purchase. I was forced to admit I couldn’t afford the item I wanted, to which he openly expressed disdain. Needless to say, I will not come here again.
