Asked them to dial in the new carburetor on my 86 Toyota Pickup. Success!! Pickup runs like new again. Friendly staff. Knowledgeable mechanics. And Trader Joe's is just five blocks away!!

Great experience at Joe's Automotive Repair. I drove all the way out here from the East Coast, and they were able to get my car in and get it looked over quick! Super friendly staff, very helpful. I'll be bringing my car back there for any future repairs.

Amazing customer service! Great mechanics! This was my first time using Joe's Automotive Repair, my car was inoperable but now is now back on the road and running well. Definitely going back!

Joe is not a man of many words, but that's only because Joe is an absolute old school savage who buries his nose in his work, of which he obviously takes great pride in. This was my 3rd trip to them (each time with a different vehicle) and each time he has taken great care of my vehicles and given more than fair prices, and has gone above and beyond to make sure my vehicles are 100% road worthy. I brought my '92 4Runner with just north of 263,000 miles in just last week with it barely running adequately enough to get up and down the road. Upon paying for his labor and leaving his shop, it is back to full power and is driving just like it did the day it left the show room floor. Joe has my loyalty as a customer for life.

Easy booking... pre-appointment discussion forewarned me of potential costs so no surprises, clean facility, and done on time. VERY reasonable price.. Highly recommend. If my Jeep needs service in the future, I will call Joe's first.

I had to replace the Distributor (Optispark) in my classic 94' Z28 Camaro, and the Techs at Joe's had no problems. I also had them change all the Spark Plugs and Plug Wires a very labor intensive project, which I could never do at home. They replaced my Fuel Filter and an Oil Change, all done in a professional manner. I'll be seeing them again for my automotive maintenance needs, thanks to Izzy and the mechanics there. 😊🚗... beep

They did not properly close the hood of my car before returning it to me. I only found out when it flew open while on the freeway. I avoided any accident or injury, and will avoid this shop from now on.

So I don't usually write reviews, but I feel it is necessary in this case. I originally had my car towed to Joe's Automotive as my car battery was drained(0.01V display from multimeter), I recently just installed a new alternator, brand new terminals/connectors for the battery, and a remanufactured starter. All the attempts to start had drained what charge was left from the battery, and I suspected the starter was bad and possibly draining the battery. To their credit they got the car started, but the only change was slightly different cable angle on the starter & alternator, and severely damaged battery terminals that look like they have been smashed in with a hammer, and tightened so tight that they can no longer be removed. I took before and after photos of the engine, and these are the only things that were altered, so I can only determine that they charged my battery successfully and slightly changed the angle of the battery connections, and then smashed in my terminals so they could no longer be removed. I was then charged $280 for this privilege. The only saving grace was that they also confirmed the starter was bad, which I thought was the case anyway, and once I swapped out and reinstalled a new starter it functions properly. (The starter ended up melting the testing device used at the location I bought the starter...) TLDR: They recharged my battery, shifted cable placement, smashed in my battery terminals so they are now permanent battery fixtures, and charged me almost $300 for that amazing service... Edit for owner response: Which specific wire are you claiming to have melted? There are only three wires/cables that connect to the starter, the positive battery cable, the starter solenoid wire, and the negative battery cable to ground. None of which were replaced OR melted. Do you have any pictures of these melted mystery wires? The bolts were also not tightened to the point that the report claimed, as my wireless ratchet wrench is not physically capable of tightening them to that degree, as it automatically stops when it meets resistance. It cannot overtighten things. The alternator was also installed correctly, there are only two connections to the alternator and both were fully connected and in the same locations before and after pickup. "would never damage parts of the vehicle to get things back on." My mangled battery terminals beg to differ, as my attached pictures can attest. They were brand new and installed that same day actually, not a scratch on them until they were brought to you guys. The damage didn't just magically appear on its own.

Joe’s Automotive to the rescue again! Week before Christmas and clearly, my front end had issues, got my car in and by midday had a list of issues and the cost, they help me do triage on the repairs and get me back on the road by the end of the week. Also, the front desk staff are always friendly and helpful!

The front desk staff are wonderful--very friendly and accommodating. And, although I know very little about cars, the mechanics seem knowledgeable, honest, and I appreciated that they offered several options and quotes for fixing my car. Nevertheless, I had a frustrating experience with the mechanic, and I will not be returning to Joe's. The issue was that, when I went to pick up my car, I noticed my e-brake felt loose. Probably no big deal, I thought, since they just fixed it up and told me it was ready for pick up. But just to make sure, I went inside, the mechanic was there, and I told him I noticed the e-brake felt a little off. He said something about how people don’t use the e-brake properly but that it would go back to normal. I wanted to ask him how I should be using the e-brake, but he was out of the door before I could ask a follow-up question. It felt pretty dismissive. But that's okay, I thought, I don't need a friendly mechanic as long as he's competent and gets the job done. So I drove back home. When I got out of the car, however, there was an intensely strong smell of burning rubber. It turns out the new part that they had installed was defective and had clamped down on the wheel. (Did they not do a thorough check after installing the new parts?) So I had to bring the car back in, and get the part replaced. It was under warranty, and they didn't charge me for the fix. They rectified the issue very professionally. But it was inconvenient, and the overall experience left a bad taste in my mouth. If the mechanic had just taken a quick look when I told him I noticed something was off about the e-brake--instead of making me feel like it was my fault and dismissing my concern--then I wouldn't have had to drive my car back to the shop, and my car wouldn't haved smelled like burned rubber for months afterward. I get that these things happen, but Joe's is expensive, and for how much they charge, I expect better service, better quality assurance, better communication.

Staff was friendly, communicative, and wise. I appreciated the way they did not charge any money without gaining prior approval but communicated the testing, ordering, and repair process in order to take each step as it came. I liked the appointment scheduling process and the central location. They were very clear about what they could and could not do as well as their process strategy. The work, communication, part ordering and eventual repair was done in a much shorter time than anticipated. I felt very cared for and will return to Joe’s again.

I really appreciate the folks at Joe's! They let me know about other problems that appeared during some routine maintenance, and helped me figure out what could wait and what couldn't. Super responsive team, great customer service! Will be going back. They have awesome communication while your car is being worked on too, and are very knowledgable.

Once again great service! Time sensitive and much appreciated. Izzi and her colleagues continue to be wonderful and responsive. I will never go anywhere else. Overall if they can't preform the work I would trust their referral. Thank you!

Went for a second opinion after the dealership “required” a $3000 replacement on my truck. Acknowledged the problem but gave me more flexible and realistic options. They are quick and honest, no dealership shenanigans here

Estimate was for $3,800. Final bill was over $8,000 and the all vehicle repairs were not completed. I supplied provided almost all the required parts. No advance warning they were going increase the final bill until they presented me with the bill. Machanic assigned to do the work was a fine young man but was clearly OJT .

I was stuck. I had one day off to get my car fixed. I called Joes first thing in the morning, and they had it good as new as quick as you please. And it was $450 less than I was quoted by other auto places. Same day service? I didn’t know that was even possible these days. I’m hooked..

Scheduled a post purchase full vehicle inspection. Dropped off at 8:20 am, and they called with results by 11 am. The inspection took them about 30-40 minutes, and they discovered four items that would need attention.. They offered solutions for repairing and their assessments for priority of the need to repair each. There was no pressure to obligate to a repair or schedule right away. We scheduled two of the items for same day repair - replacing the transmission fluid and replacing the serpentine belt - and the repairs were completed by 1:30 pm. Very friendly and professional crew in every way.

Very good experience at Joe’s. I just needed the tail light housing replaced and other shops were way over quoting. Joe’s did it for a fraction of the cost with no unnecessary repairs. Wonderful for a 12 year old car I don’t want to put thousands of dollars into unnecessarily
