Good enough for the most part, I spent $8 doing the outside, did all the steps other than a wax brush, and car looks pretty good, did miss some spots, more my fault than machine, but begs the question is it worth it compared to $13 for gleam to have a machine brushing everywhere likely harder than you would yourself. But outside looks good. As for the vacuum, first vacuum I used on the far right hand side when facing spear blvd, didn't work, couldnt suck hard enough to pick up a peanut, so $2 down the drain, went to the other end vacuum and that one worked fine, put $1 on got just under 3 mins which was enough for a touch up. So all in all, $11 for a quick touch up on the car that makes it feel pretty clean, could be worse

Great local self-serve car wash - clean and well maintained. I wish it had a an air drying system, but the spot free rinse seems to work well enough. It's not the cheapest, but much cheaper than paying someone else and more cathartic as well!

Came to this location after driving by it fairly often and always seeing people wash their cars here. I have a new car and keep my Thule on the top of it during the winter, so I cannot go through the gas station or drive-thru cleaners. I decided to stop here and had no idea what I was doing with any of the settings or which hose to use. That being said, it was all very straight forward and cost me about $20 of washing for a large SUV (Mazda CX-9) and Thule up top. I am not 100% what each of the settings are on the nob that you switch from start to end on (you can select which ones you want be switching and in any order). All aspects of the wash itself worked -- I did notice the water pressure was not as strong when all three (note three -- the the far one closest to the fence was broken (12/1/22)) bays were being used, but nothing that would cause me to be upset about, as it was a very minimal difference. I did not use a vacuum and parked my car off to the side to wipe the car dry and clean the interior after washing the exterior. Highly recommend!

Do not use this carwash! Rip Off, Misleading $$ Posting, Non Responsive Owner! Sign states $3 minimum start, inserted $4.50, never started, and no way to dispense lost coins. Contacted owner with posted "trouble phone number", NO ONE ANSWERS OR MAIL BOX FULL, several attemps and numerous text messages. ZERO RESPONSE. This business is misleading with operation $$ signs, zero customer service and no repercussion for not refunding lost money. I'm certain he assumes no one will go to the trouble of complaining due to it being a "few dollars lost"...he likely makes a fortune on this misleading business practice and disappearing act. Shame on you!

Life saver. Had to vacuum the rental before return and found this spot. Looks firme, like the ones in the hood. So I stopped. Couple of old pimps were there and started telling jokes about the heat and unmentionables. Vacuumed the bucket and took off. Best most funiest moment of my trip. Still laughing till this point. Ha!

My truck looked like it had taken a mud bath after running on some dirt roads in the mountains. It was time to get some high pressure water to remove the mud and follow up with a soapy wash to return a bit of shine so I stopped at Hi-Performance. The first problem I encountered was that the credit card reader was fickle. I had to swipe my card several times before getting it to register. That got me a max of 15 minutes of wash time. Given the admittedly bad level of dirt I knew I was going to be racing the clock to get a decent wash within 15 minutes. I am convinced that self serve wash locations dispense a lot more soap than you actually need so you spend more time (thus $) trying to get it rinsed off. Copious amounts of pink soap gushed from the brush device to the point that it covered the vehicle entirely and made it difficult to see where I had scrubbed and what I had missed. I found it interesting that the soap stained my hands and forearms too. My wife even mentioned it when I got home. All and all this location served my primary purpose; to remove the heavy dirt. In order to really get my truck clean I would have had to spend twice as much time and money. At that rate it is worthwhile to go to an attended wash location where a staff insures a clean vehicle and I get to watch instead of do the work myself.

Pretty good place to wash your own car. The wash equipment is kept in good shape. I knocked a star off because for some reason they have a wheel brush that is too small and short to clean your wheels. My wheels aren't anything special but the brush leaves them pretty dirty.

Everyone is right about the misleading nature of this wash and how you’re charged. Even when I stopped the wash early I was charged $15. My credit card originally showed a hold for $10, so I thought people were exaggerating… checked the bank statement and surely enough was charged $15. I wish this weren’t the case because the owner takes nice care of the property. He is there around 7am-8am every day picking up trash and cleaning it up.

This car wash works different from all the others. Ran the wash for 3.5 minutes on a credit card and then flipped the knob to stop. Didn't notice that the thing kept running.. you have to press the button on the card reader to stop it from charging you. There are no instructions. I went to dry my car and didn't realize until afterward... I had paid for 7 minutes! Grrr!

Tried two different vacuums, both could not even suck up alittle dust and dirt on my weatherproof mats. Credit card use minimum charge on vacuums is $2. Spent $4 and could not even get passenger side floor clean. No one answers the phone when you call the number.

Vacuum time is a serious mis. At all other self serve car washes I've been able to adequately vacuum my whole car for $1. I was on my second dollar and timed out. I didn't even get to the trunk! Not a good experience for the money.

Why did my 4 minute 38 second car wash cost $9.75?? Then, I literally picked up the vacuum hose, realized it wasn’t sucking and hung it back up. That cost me $2 bucks. And we all just get to take it on the chin cuz no one answers the phone and, obviously, judging by the zero responses on these “reviews”, no one gives a shit. Just take our money & run & there’s nothing we can do about it.

Complaint Regarding Non-Functional Car Wash and Lack of Response I visited your car wash on Tuesday, June 16, 2025 and was very disappointed with the experience. The facility appears run down, when I attempted to use the service, the machine took my money without functioning at all. I had obtained the coins directly from the on-site coin machine. I walked around the entire premises for contact information and found only one phone number posted on the number 1 bay. All the other bays had been vandalized. I texted that number at 11:59 to report the issue and again at 4:45 but did not receive any response. On Thursday, June 19th, I phoned the number and left message, again no response. The premises appears to be vandalized, left in a state of disrepair and questionable activity going on. As I was looking for a posted number or business to contact, there were people looking through the trash cans, also, I noticed a car pull into bay number 4 that had taken my money. I walked over to let them know that the equipment wasn’t working, but they were just hanging out in there. I’m not sure what I interrupted. I noticed several video cameras around but no cameras pointing towards the washing bays, I doubt these cameras accomplish anything. I left feeling annoyed and unsafe. I’m very disappointed with both the condition of the car wash and the lack of customer service. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years and to see the way this car wash has deteriorated and mismanaged is concerning. I would appreciate a refund and some assurance that these issues will be addressed.

While I was attempting to wash my rig, I discovered that the change machine was broken and I only had bills on me at the time. At the same moment a couple who maintained the facility stopped by to take care of some stuff and I explained my problem about having no quarters. They gave me some time for free and I was able to make use of the wash. This is the kind of customer service that makes people loyal, lifelong customers. Did they give away a 5 dollar car wash? Yes, but I will now do my damndest to never ever wash my vehicles anywhere but at Hi-Performance Self-Serve Car Wash. It was a small act by an employee that will stay fresh in my mind for a long time and I will suggest this wash to as many people as I can when I get the opportunity. Also, the quality of the wash is great, the equipment is excellent and it was easy to fit my large RV inside. No doubt a 5 star rating for this business from me!
