This is a newer and smaller store but don't let that deceive you! They still have plenty of products that the other dollar stores around have! Also they have a large freezer food section. Very clean store

One of the few stores located within walking distance of most residential neighborhoods. You're going to pay more for just about everything then you would at Aldis or Walmart, but when you need chips and queso or toilet paper and don't have time or energy to go all the way to the main stores this place comes in clutch. Plus they have the Dollar aisle where clearance or discounted goods hide, you can find some great deals down there.

They harass you if you come in with a backpack, and demand you leave your property with them while you're in the store. I guess most people have a car and can leave things in the trunk. I don't, so Dollar General sees this as a free ticket to discriminate against me. I recently tried to redeem a manufacturer's coupon here, and failed. It was a mailed coupon (not printed), and it contained a hologram. It was for a free Nestea up to $2 or so. (They charge $1 here for that item.) It came up as 'item not found', so they said there was nothing they could do. So Dollar General lost a sale (which would've been paid for by the manufacturer who issued the coupon) and screwed a potential customer. A real lose-lose. Smart people. Do yourself a favor and try Dollar Tree. You'll save yourself money as well as frustration.

I go to Dollar General at least once a week, often more. Its close to home, inexpensive- and the ONLY store near where I live. Dollar General sells everything from cough medicine and aspirin to dish soap, oil for your car, pet food, packing tape, epson salts. It reminds me of the old-time country stores that could fill all your needs almost all the time.

One of the workers at this Dollar General was very stand offfish. While attend me she was talking on phone as I was waiting. She would stop as she ringing me up and taking as if she had nothing to do. That's why I give this Dollar General a 2🙈🙉do noting

This isn't the best dollar store, I got some clothes off the clearance rack but they weren't on clearance. The cashier gave me attitude when I mentioned it. I don't mind if I'm wrong but I don't need to get spoken to like I'm an idiot.

The digital coupons never work here. I use many other locations and never have a problem. Need more cashiers. They do carry some items I do not find at other Dollar Generals though.

Kenya at the Midlothian location sorely lacks the natural customer service skills needed to manage a store. Three customers were polite asking her how she was doing and were met with cold barely there acknowledgement and didn't even tell the customers our totals. I won't be back at that location. Also when checking jn an order not once did she acknowledge the customers sitting there waiting to check out. A hot mess.

Overall a good shopping experience. Store had what I needed plus I was in and out. Store was a bit of a mess and the AA cashier picked and choosed who she wanted to be friendly with. The female African American cashier asked the AA gentleman in front of me how he was doing and to have a nice evening but never said a word to me when I checked out. I am a white male and can't believe how much racism I witness from all ethnicities. Very sad.

I like shopping the Dollar General on Midlothian. The shelves are always stocked well, it's easy to find what I need, and I find Kenya to be a very good manager. She's always pleasant and efficient. The other employees also do a good job. This is definitely one of the best Dollar General stores in the area, and I will sometimes drive out of my way to go to this one.

I hate leaving bad reviews but I hate rude people even more I'll never come back to this store again. It seems like the girl working the register has some issues or something I walked in and just said hello and she gave me a death stare and acted like she had a problem for some reason. Just know I won't be her problem anymore I'll gladly go somewhere else

I enjoy visiting this location. The employees are helpful when I come in, buggies are always available and the shelves are full, neat and organized. Decent parking as well. The food options are fresh and never out of date and that matters most to me.
