Long ridiculous lines. Half the time there is only one cashier open which is crazy. Especially if you are in a hurry. Basically and honestly the only reason we still go is because of Ms. Nora! Sweetest Woman ever.

I love this place. It is near where I work, and I visit almost every day. It has fresh fruit and vegetables, and wonderful meat. If you need Sunday dinner, stop here. You can get fresh potatoes, carrots, and onions and broccoli on the side. Want to cook your broccoli on the side? Then get it here. There's plenty of butter and real cheddar cheese to do the job. I love the staff, but I'm afraid to mention names, lest I forget someone. You want to feel like family? Come here. Welcome home.

I got everything I needed then went to check out. The cashier was blowing up balloons at her register and never looked at the long line and said anything like, thanks for your patience, I'll be with you asap. Only 2 registers were open with long lines. Ridiculous!! The man in front of me finally walked out, then I left my buggy and walked out soon after. Horrendous customer service.

This store is definitely my gi to stop for any quick grabs especially right after work. The store is fairly well stocked almost similar to a mini Walmart. The prices were not bad at all and the store always leave me wondering what else they have. The staff does a little less than their jobs so don't expect too much.

This is one of my "go to" stores. The staff is friendly, the app saves you money, usually what you want is in stocks, you CAN order ahead for pickup, it opens early and closes late. It's a GREAT store, however the bathroom isn't ALWAYS available. Fortunately, the mexican restaurant down the sidewalk is kind.

I love this store. I wish we had one close to where I live. I shop at Dollar General lot anyway. I only get a few chances to get to Marketplace Dollar General. I do you have a question? I bought a top there and tried it on at home, but it did not fit. When I took it back up there the lady said you could not return anything because of the covid-19. I never heard of such a thing. So I guess I got stuck with a top I can't wear.

Last Evening stopped by to pick up a few items . When I checked my itemized receipt I noticed overcharges for two items that I purchased multiples . I approached the “store manager and showed her the overpayment and told her placement of items . She argued with me that the higher price in the system had to be honored . I’ve been in retail on and off for well over 30 years ti know that one you don’t argue with a customer over prices and you honor the lowest price shown where they picked . Mind you this mere dollars but it was well over 6.00 on refund . I’m on a fixed budget and I told her if I had known that these were listed higher at the register I would have omitted purchase. Am I in the wrong for pointing out THEIR error and asking that they honor the lower shown price ?

Store was clean and was being stocked as we shopped. Employees did not block the isles while stocking...thank you! Perishable sections were well stocked. CDC guidelines were being followed and masks required. My first visit to a Dollar General Market...I was pleasantly surprised! We will be back!

DG read this for your own sake Lol! do not go here if you’re hungry and/or looking for food. All 20ish of their fridge/freezer sections were completely empty. The few vegetables in the joke of a produce section were moldy. You can find better food at a shell gas station. I Saw 3 different employee's stocking: cat treats, storage containers, and greeting cards… so if they have the staff to stock the isles, why are they stocking things that don’t need to be refilled? DG Why are you paying an outrageous wage to people to stand around and make your name look bad? Side theory: the employees are letting friends/family steal all the food and day to day supplies. Today I watched someone scan their items at self checkout, bag them, and then just left without paying. He was very obvious about it and the employee was standing 5ft in front of him (I see it happen at the North Ave location all the time) DG if you’re reading this, y’all need to do something about this location and the one on North Ave. They’re giving a bad rep to DGs all over Athens and in counties surrounding

It's a great "grab and go" store. They have a produce section, meat, snacks, home decor, seasonal decorative items , drinks, and in-home essentials. Customer service is usually nice, but it's a little cluttered (last time I went). Great store!

Asked for assistance for getting a different DG to answer their phone...The cashier called got the same response as I did heard me on my line then 'HUNG UP ON ME WITHOUT ANSWERING AGAIN!' I called back three times with the same person hanging up on me again she stated 'We can't get them either.' I told her the same thing earlier but she didn't transfer me to their manager for assistance nor care and hung up on me for the fourth time! DG get employees that have better sense please and that they would like to assist you!!!

This is literally one of the worst dollar market. Online it say they close at 11pm the last 3 night the doors been lock at 10:45. Getting help at the store is impossible and they get rude when ask. The older lady there saw me walkin to the door at 10:45 and still locked the door and said they closed so I asked an employee the next day what time they closed and she confirmed it’s was 11pm when ask to speak to management they always say they are the manager. Something really need to be did about this store

Apparently customer service is not a priority Lady was so rude! She literally looked right at me on the floor and ran away from me. Said she was helping someone when I got up to her but she yelled at me when she said it. She could have just said “ I’ll be with you in a moment, I’m helping someone else right now”.

Definitely not a food desert! This Dollar General is serving up fresh produce like it’s auditioning for a farmers’ market. Perfect for quick, budget-friendly shopping, and the prices? Competitive enough to make you feel like you’ve won a prize. The store was clean, organized, and fully stocked—no scavenger hunt required. We stopped by on Thanksgiving Day, and the associates were so cheerful you’d think they were hosting the Macy’s parade. Their positive attitude made our visit feel like a holiday bonus. Dollar General? Far superior to the other dollar stores. Highly recommended—your wallet will thank you.
