Tommy's is a great car wash. I have a monthly membership and never thought I would be someone who had a carwash membership. I love being able to keep my vehicle clean, and it takes 5 minutes. The wash bay is clean, always working, and does a great job of cleaning. Highly recommend.

Didn't get everything clean on my truck but it had bugs practically glued on so I didn't expect it to be perfect. I like the belt method of the wheels for the vehicles. Way better than most places that you have to line up perfectly. Overall a great experience.

Car wash is awesome! Gets my truck spotless every time. The vacuums could use some more suction but do the job for the most part. The unlimited washes for a monthly fee is the best part. You can literally wash your vehicle every day and not have to pay any more than your monthly subscription.

Drove through a cloud of bugs, so I went through to clean them off... Not terribly impressed. Before and after photos. It was better, but a chair car wash can do the same thing.

Tommy's Car Wash - A BIG MISTAKE Taking my 2020 Ford Expedition to Tommy's Car Wash was a massive mistake. Their faulty equipment outright destroyed the rear wiper assembly on my vehicle. Shortly after exiting onto the street, I noticed my rear window was wet and turned on the rear wiper--only to find it malfunctioning. To make matters worse, I was rushing to pick someone up at the Fargo airport. When I called the manager, Chad, to report the issue, he blatantly refused to help. His justification? I had already driven off the property. This blatant lack of accountability and complete disregard for customer service is beyond unacceptable. Tommy's Car Wash clearly prioritizes their own convenience over the trust and satisfaction of their customers. Save yourself the headache, frustration, and repair costs--stay far away from this car wash.

I came a few months back when they had free car washes and the two cars ahead of me got into small bumper crash in the car wash because they were in a rush to get cars through and today I went to vacuum my car out and the manager came out to me and said” I noticed you didn’t get a car wash and asked if I was a member if not you can’t use the vacuums. I felt humiliated and embarrassed. How rude was this and my vacuum was shut off. The guy next to me asked me if I was ok and I said yes and just left shaking. Never again will I ever go there again!! Period!!

These guys are fantastic! Customer service is great at the cashier booth. The pre-wash took care of the major bug carcasses on the front. And when we got out of the tunnel, that Firecracker Red color really popped. Highly recommend this wash.

It's really cool! I intend to wash there often over the next 3 weeks or so. I will very likely keep my unlimmited subscription after the promotion expires. It was a good wash. My van got clean outside. I would have given it five stars but, the vacuum hoses were taken down due to high wind. I had to go to another car wash so I could vacuum. I think that the employees at Tommy's Express could manage to help keep it organized. But all in all I think it's good.

I always go here with the unlimited pass and never disappointed. It's just a car wash, but it's one that always gets the job done and staff is always nice.

Worst 24 dollars I ever spent on a car wash. Truck wash still gross when I was done and vacuums granted free don't do crap for sucking anything up.

Car wash is good. You now have to pay $5 for a detailing kit if you want to wipe down your car, no towels available

This use to be a better wash. For 24usd. Its more like a 15 wash. The speed at which the car goes through the wash is to fast. They need to slow it down. There use to be prewash or thought they did were they have guys spray the front and hard to reach areas. I might be mistaken. Its not great or good it's just ok.

Silverstar carwash is better. I went through tommys carwash twice and they scratched the heck out of my truck. There are deep scratches on all sides of my vehicle because the brushes get too close and the parts hit you vehicle. They said they would not do anything unless i proved it. Not coming back here. Silverstar Carwash is so much better then tommys.

We purchased the Car wash membership during a promotion at Waite Park MN during Valentine Day. Somehow, our car washer membership was cancelled even though the promotion period will be for the next 3 months. I went to Tommy Car wash in Fargo today and find out our membership was cancelled. Chad, he probably is the manager at Fargo Tommy Car wash, was amazing. He tried to help me figure out what is happening and they cannot fix the issue since the membership was bought at Waite Park. I appreciated that Chad spent time to help me out and end up gave me a free car wash today until I can figure out the issue with the Waite Park Location. A little gesture goes a long way, I will bring our other car here and purchase their membership! Totally worth it for the great customer service support!

On the behalf of my lady (this evening, 02-Nov-2025) , I want to share an experience that speaks to a deeper concern about consistency and customer care at Tommy’s. Until tonight, we were loyal monthly subscribers, and we genuinely valued the brand. For context, about a month ago, I went through the 32nd Ave S location and the wash did not remove basic surface dirt. When I returned later and mentioned it, the associate was outstanding — professional, direct, and immediately acknowledged they’d had some cleaning issues recently. He told me: “Bring it back — we’ll make it right.” That interaction mattered. It’s the kind of service that earns brand loyalty. Tonight, that trust evaporated. My partner went through the same 32nd Ave wash and again the vehicle — a Honda Fit — came out visibly dirty on the rear glass and bumper. I suggested she stop at the 40th St S location, confident that Tommy’s would stand behind their service just as they had before. Instead, the district manager approached with a posture that communicated refusal before he ever examined the car. He began by saying he could not “find a record” of her earlier wash — as though the absence of a log negates visible dirt on a vehicle washed minutes prior. He then stated, in a dismissive tone, that with the basic $12 wash “you get a little water and a little soap,” implying that a clean car requires purchasing a higher-tier wash. That is not up-selling. That sounds like engineered deficiency. At no point did he offer a courtesy rewash — the minimal gesture expected in any service-based business where quality and trust matter. Instead, when she pointed out the visibly dirty vehicle and stated she should not have to pay a second time for a service that should have been delivered the first time, he doubled down. He even encouraged her to “go ahead” and leave a review — while making clear she would still need to pay again if she wanted her car properly cleaned. This interaction did not read as policy. It read as indifference. * * * * * * * * (05 Nov 2025) Response to Owner: (not the original review) Respectfully, your version omits critical facts while implying customer misconduct where there was none. Timing: My partner drove from the 32nd Ave location directly to the 40th St location. The discrepancy in your system is not a reflection of her behavior — it is a reflection of your system's lag or error. It does not change the reality that the vehicle was washed once, came out visibly dirty, and was brought immediately to another Tommy’s location for assistance. Policy vs. practice: A rewash was not offered. Instead, your district manager insisted the only remedy was to purchase a higher-tier wash — effectively stating that a basic $12 wash is not intended to fully clean a car. That is not policy. That is an admission of engineered deficiency. Behavior: There was no hostility until your district manager dismissed a loyal customer’s concern and told her to “go ahead” and write a review rather than resolve a clear service failure. If a customer calmly stating “this is unacceptable” is what you define as hostility, the bar for professionalism is in the wrong place. Upsell as solution: Offering an “upgrade to an unlimited plan” is not resolution — it is opportunistic sales in the face of a complaint. A courtesy rewash was the obvious and reasonable solution, and it was refused. We have been monthly subscribers and supporters of Tommy’s for a few years. The associate at the 32nd Ave location demonstrated genuine customer service--promote that guy. The district manager did not. That discrepancy in training, attitude, and accountability is what prompted this review — not a single wash gone wrong. Your attempt to recast this narrative, for future consumers, as customer misbehavior and company response as policy-as-civility about represents what we've recently come to understand about Tommy's. We have since moved our business to Don’s Car Wash, where service is consistent and respect is not conditional.
