My favorite laundry mat. Just remember you can put other people’s clothes that are done in a rolling cart if they aren’t there or you can’t find them and the clothes have been sitting a while. The owner told me that’s what we should do. Watch out for the lady with blue hair and mismatched clothes. She is a germaphobe. She flipped out when I put her clothes in a cart even though I couldn’t find the owner of the clothes and asked around first. Turns out during the hour I was there, she washed her hands repeatedly, she dropped clothes on the floor and wouldn’t put them in a dryer. She packed them all in huge trash bags and left with them. She said, “you touched my clothes?” “Those are my kids clothes and now I have to rewash them.” Even though she dropped them all over the floor and wouldn’t dry them. She had multiple trash bags of unwashed items in her machine when I unloaded it. Pet stuff. Dirty shoes and socks all thrown in without being removed from the bag. She then called the police. They did nothing. She asked me if I was mentally ill. I said, “excuse me I am not the one yelling with blue hair so you tell me?” Anyhow, she was there late on an evening night. Freaks come out at night. My advice is go in the daytime when it’s least busy and avoid the freaks. Also, the OWNER makes the rules. I did the right thing but some people are never happy and are too OCD to use a public laundry mat. Aside from that, it’s nice and clean and well kept. I am grateful for this place!

This is an EXCELLENT business. Anytime that I visit this location to wash my comforters and larger items, it is CLEAN, WELL MAINTAINED, & SAFE! We have a very large family with lots of kids, and this is a place I’m not even concerned about bringing my kids. There is an extremely diverse client base, which is great. And never any riff raff that we’ve ever had to deal with. On a couple of occasions we’ve visited to do our entire laundering process, and it’s been great. They have multiple size machines, you name the size, they got it. They have nice, clean carts, folding tables, etc. Their restroom on site is maintained properly and clean. In addition, there’s a decent restaurant right next to them that you can order food or they will walk it over. They have tables and a television in their front area which is definitely an added plus. We’ll always recommend this business.

24hrs, what more can you ask for. Of course it needs a little more upkeep and remodeling but it’s nice for what it is. Only time I have is to go around 11pm and I have to thank this person for keeping their business open all hours of the day! Even if it’s not my job, I try to make sure to clean it up a bit. I know having 24hr maintenance is hard and expensive.

A very nice and clean facility with a convenient location, pizza next door, Chinese food a couple of doors down and Waffle House in front, machines are pricey m, but, I'll gladly pay a little more for better and clean, I highly recommend anyone to come here, I would definitely return again next time I'm in town

I’m here usually once a week, I usually only dry my clothes here ( I wash at home). When I visit it’s either very early in the morning or after midnight. I have never had any issues. Randomly there will be a dryer or so that is out of service, but that usually doesn’t effect anyone there!! Pretty good place to go!!

This used to be the best and cleanest laundromat in Athens, in my opinion.... but not anymore. It was so filthy - trash everywhere. A lot of the machines, dryers, and even 3 out of 4 change machines were also out of service. I'm not sure what happened, but it's went way downhill. It's super convenient being the only laundromat open 24/7, but with the condition of it now, I would rather just go elsewhere during regular business hours.

Great place to wash and dry your clothes. The customers were nice and helpful, since I was just passing through town and had never been to that laundromat before. The only reason I gave it four stars was because there was a woman outside that kept harassing me, wanting money for food and to use my phone. That should be addressed by management. I was not the only one at the laundromat to feel this way. But overall, great place and clean.

Clean and easy to find! Love this laundry mat. We enjoy the food next to it while waiting.Please hang a sign telling people that if they leave their laundry unattended, customers reserve the right to take it out and put it in a rolling cart as you, the owner, previously told me. This will help avoid a lot of problems with people who consistently leave and get upset to find their laundry has been taken out of a machine. It’s always a clean nice place and I don’t go anywhere else. Thanks for making it a great experience. Highly recommended!

Love it!! Clean. Plenty of folding tables and carts with racks to hang and transport my clothes. Ample selection of various sizes of machines. Clean restrooms. Several places to sit and even some tables. Both times I was there, the owner or an employee stopped by. That gives me a sense of security. Last time I went, I left my hamper there. I came by the next day, and it was still there! It is a nice hamper, and I was expecting it to have been taken overnight. Nope -- it was not stolen.

This place is awesome!! I am not a frequent laundromat user, but this one is the nicest I have ever seen. Everything is super clean and the machines are very nice. You get what you pay for and Athens Wash House is a great value If you want a clean laundromat with great equipment. I was here on a Saturday and was able to get in and out quickly with my 4 loads of clothes.

Update- they have sent me a refund. Thank you I was washing clothes Friday night when I went out for just a moment and stopped watching my clothes for two minutes. When I go back in, I notice this lady just allowing her child to run around and mess with the washer handles. I look at my washer, and my clothes had stopped washing and was blinking an F 22 code, and I couldn't get it to start washing again no matter what I did. I looked up the error code, and it seems the only way to fix it was to turn off and on the machine. I tried calling and texting the phone number posted on a sign for help, but received no answer. So, I had lost the $5 I spent on the wash and had to just take my clothes that were still soaked with water and detergent and leave since I hadn't brought more money. Not a good experience at all that a machine can just error and stop working.

Wow! New payment system, no more quarters! You now go to a kiosk, get a "laundry card", load money on it with your credit card or cash, and use the laundry card to access each machine that you use. If you are a regular, you use the same card next time. So, so simple! And, new tables, lots of rolling baskets and chairs, clean, and very nice people running the place. Really good laundromat!

Instead of paying $5.75 for a wash I had to pay $14.25 because the original machine didn’t disperse any water and I had to use two other machines meaning more money, more time, and more detergent. When I tried the “help” phone number, nobody answered until I had to badger them only to tell me they have to tell the owner to see if I’ll get a refund on my card. I sent pictures and video to the “help” number but dont bother if youre in the same predicament.Whats the point of that number if they can’t do anything-how about posting a number to the owner who can actually “do” something? And I don’t want a refund to my card which makes me have to spend my money there?! I want that money to eat and put some gas in my car not spend it on a machine that might or might not actually wash my clothes. Gave up on the “help” number and having to find and contact the owners in Commerce myself….which means more time and probably have to travel up to Commerce to get this resolved.
