Torrence was hired by St. John Catholic Church in Defiance, OH to supply the sound and video for our newly renovated hall space.The design committee required a multi-functional audio/visual set-up to accommodate two groups operating independently but within this same space when using the soundproof mobile wall. Torrence provided a touch pad master control panel allowing for this specialized flexibility. It is intuitive and easy to use. The sound quality from the wireless hand-held and lavalier microphones is amazing. Microphone jacks are also available in different locations. The large primary video screen quietly retracts into a hidden ceiling compartment while the wall-mounted video screens angle adjust for maximum viewing. Fred Lammers, our account manager, promptly responded to all requests and inquiries. He also gave us (the staff) an in-depth and hands-on training session to make sure we knew how to operate the equipment. Fred was courteous and patient! During installation, the Torrence installers coordinated their needs well with the general contractor and the electrical subcontractor. They also periodically stopped in to see how construction was progressing and made sure their responsibilities facilitated the construction timeline. As a small Catholic school that does three stage performances a year we needed an update to our sound system. Torrence came out listened to our needs and was respectful of our limited budget. With their expertise and professionalism we now have a system that meets our expectations with many extras that was installed this summer. We recently had our first stage performance in November since the upgrade and there were many praises given to the students and the sound. Torrence Sound and Fred Lammers have been great! Summerfield Schools was experiencing serious problems with our clock system in the elementary building. Torrence worked very hard to correct the problems even putting to together a plan to replace all clocks with new ones at a reduced cost and complementary labor.
