Imagine the owner of a business threatening to “beat your a**” because you questioned their workmanship after discovering (the hard way) that 3 entire bolts are mysteriously missing from your front axle, the same axle they worked on the week previous. That’s exactly the experience they provide here at Pro-Tech! Do NOT bring your vehicle or loved ones here. Dangerous place for both.

I have a few gripes with them taking longer than I was told and making excuses but that’s almost to be expected anywhere. The true issue is I recently had work done on my car with them. Today when backing out of my parking spot there was a loud noise and a clang. Looked under the car and there was a large bolt laying there. I called off of work and took the car back to the shop with the bolt in hand. I told the person at the front desk that that a bolt fell off the car and asked if they could look at it sometime today. She said “there’s no guarantee it fell off because of us and first availability is Monday” I again asked if there is anyway they could just look today. She said no and said she had other people she needed to finish up with. I took my car straight from there to Bayshore truck and auto service center. On the way I got a call from Chris with Pro Tech. (Assuming he’s the owner). He said “Do you have a problem?” I said “yes, a bolt fell off my car”. His response was “A bolt fell off your car or you found a bolt on the ground?”. If both the person at the front desk and Chris, whoever he is, assume I would lie to them, find a random bolt, call off work and drive to their shop to spend the day there for no reason, then I have no reason to waste any more of my time with them. Bayshore truck and auto said they would take a look this afternoon as soon as possible. Less than 10 mins after it was on a Jack they called me out to the back to take a look. I had axel work done at pro tech and a bolt by it wasn’t tightened. You can see it in the pictures. If I had gotten a friendly response at pro tech, even that they were sorry it happened to me without even taking blame I wouldn’t be writing this review. Even if they said they are sorry Monday is the only time they could take a look at it I wouldn’t be writing this review. Assuming I’m lying and not being willing to spend 10 mins looking at the car is wild. 2 people from there assuming I’m lying is why I’m writing this review. I’ve worked enough jobs to have made a mistake. A bolt not being fastened doesn’t bother me a ton. Not convenient but stuff happens. Assuming a client that paid $2400 for work is lying and being rude is just bad business. I’ve got receipts. I have time stamped photos. And I wouldn’t take a day off to deal with this if I didn’t have to. Update: they found two other places by the Axel with missing bolts. Called the owner back to tell him about the bolts missing. He said it’s BS and was mad at me for telling his worker I would go somewhere where they would do it right the first time. Truth hurts I guess because he told me he would beat my a** if I went back there. I don’t condone violence and don’t recommend taking your car to this place.
