Do NOT purchase gas here. I bought regular gas as typical for my car, and had a cylinder in my engine misfire because of the poor quality gas. My car broke down and I had to pull over to the side of the highway, resulting in a $200 fix to get my misfired cylinder replaced. Do NOT buy gas here. You will only get cheap quality that will seriously damage your vehicle. I would rate zero stars if I could. I will never go to a BP again, and neither should you.

Excellent service, friendly and always very helpful! It’s so good to have such a great mechanic in the neighborhood, trustworthy and correct. Even if I drop by when my car suddenly starts acting up, Carlos always takes some time out of his very busy day to do a quick analysis and if necessary provides me with an appointment - most of the time already for the next day. Hopefully they’ll stay at the Forest Glen BP for a long time!

Well, I just purchased my vehicle from the auction & needs mechanical work done in order to meet the requirement to pass the MD state inspection that Forest glen BP is performing for my vehicle. Its been a delightful experience at this local shop, will definitely be coming back to have my vehicle serviced for any major or even minor work. forest glen BP & the staff are outstandingly reasonable in every aspect.. There work is honest, worthy of paying because your vehicle will be in good hands & will have any issues resolved the proper way. Henry performed all the work on my vehicle, which involved replacing front suspension control arms, as well as a severe power steering leak that required me to have the rack & pinion replaced. everything was properly replaced & done in a timely manner that was both convenient for myself & the shop. I was having issues with my alignment in the rear suspension of my vehicle, after so many tried to repair it, forest glen BP was the only one to properly fix it & figure it out, vehicle was aligned & I no longer have alignment problems, I'm super satisfied & I promise you would be too. I highly recommend anyone in the area to stop by if you ever have any problems with your vehicle. they specialize in foreign & domestic vehicle, & will fix anything from as little as a tire plug all the way to replacing your engine or transmission if needed. A couple of my friends insisted that I bring my car here for the repairs & I don't regret one bit listening to them because I was indeed in good hands. NOT ONE DISASSPOINTMENT. I'm sure you will feel the same on your first visit. Carlos will diagnose the vehicle like no other. diagnosis Have always been the right ones, & were approached in the best way. prices are super reasonable, dealership is old news to me, forest glen BP is the place to be. I have been bringing my 4 vehicles to this BP for over 5 years. All the folks, both in the service area and the store have been friendly and helpful. My family has been treated like family at this business (Including sometimes a ride back to our home after leaving one of the cars). The garage/mechanic that is apart of this BP station is great! They are honest and work with you to try to help you get the best price for repairs on your vehicle. I got an state inspection done and they let me know what needed to be fixed and told me what I could fix myself. Once I fixed some stuff myself, I brought it back to the shop for them to fix the remaining problems. They are genuine and great mechanics, trying to earn an honest dollar. I will definitely be back for any of my car service needs. Thank you Herberth, Carlos, and the rest of the guys there.

Took our old Jeep in because the check engine light was on. Carlos was extremely knowledgeable and kept in close contact with us as he worked on it. Carlos is the most honest and hardworking mechanic I have ever met. After struggling with an ongoing "low power" issue in my GMC Acadia, Carlos never gave up, never charged me for work until the problem was 100% solved and he was an advocate when the dealership wanted to make unnecessary repairs. The transmission on my 2014 Ford Escape started to fail when my wife was returning from an exercise class. She barely made it to the Forest Glen station. Although my insurance company would have paid to tow the Escape to a local Ford dealership or Aamco for repairs, I decided get an assessment and estimate from Carlos. He ran it through its diagnostics and showed me the error code readout, gave me his recommendation and a quote for a parts and labor. I researched it online and found his diagnosis to be accurate and his prices for parts and labor very competitive. The Escape repairs were done on time and included a 100K warranty as well as a 1000 mile free after service check to ensure everything is working correctly. I drove it on a 500 mile trip shortly after it was repaired and everything worked fine. When you walk into his service center office, there are a number of training certificates on the wall, something you might typically expect to see at a major car dealership. What I discovered is Carlos use to work for Criswell Chevrolet for a number of years before going into business for himself. As a result, you are getting great technical expertise at a much lower hourly rate charged by a dealership. I would definitely recommend Carlos and his Forest Glen BP for repairs. Now that my cars are all past their warranty, I will likely go to Carlos for all future repairs and preventative maintenance. He is honest, hard working, and competitively priced.

Carlos is an outstanding mechanic -- thorough, efficient, and exceedingly fair. We brought our cars to a different mechanic in Kensington and both Jeeps failed inspection. On recommendation, we took the cars to Carlos for the repairs (brakes and suspension issues). Carlos re-evaluated the alleged problems, explained and showed us on the cars where the inspection reports were wrong, and addressed the real issues that same day at a very reasonable price. Very glad to have found Carlos. We will be bringing our cars to him for future servicing. Thank you, Carlos!

I am new to Maryland from out of state and needed state safety inspections for my two vehicles, both of which are 10+ years old. The Maryland inspection is quite rigorous compared to my old state. The guys here provided excellent service, detailed everything that needed to be done to pass inspection. Some of the repairs were simple I did myself and some required big work under the hood, most of which were repairs I knew my cars needed but had neglected for a long time. Herbert kept me up to date as they worked on my cars and got them done in the time I needed. The mechanics in the shop were courteous and did a good job. I will be coming back for all future service needs.

A fine place to get gas--or diesel--while on your trip through the area. A mechanic is available to perform work on your vehicle, or perform a State inspection. There are also plenty of tobacco and caffeine products. Lotto. Bones pills. Motor oil and fluids. No postcards available

I’ve never had a more frustrating experience with a mechanic. While the older gentleman working there is respectful and clearly knows what he's doing, he doesn’t speak English — which unfortunately puts everything in the hands of a younger Asian guy who handles most of the communication and control at the shop.This younger mechanic was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. When I asked for a clear explanation of what was wrong with my car, he literally told me to “Google it” instead of explaining — which is completely unacceptable. On top of that, his diagnosis was completely wrong, and I nearly lost $4,500 because of it. Thankfully I got a second opinion before authorizing any repairs.I truly respect the older man’s work ethic and skill, but the customer service here — driven by that one individual — was enough for me to say I won’t be coming back, and I don’t recommend this shop
